Adjust Feedings

FeedComp allows you to view all upcoming feedings, ingredient loads, and pen drops at any time—even if today’s feedings are complete. Tap a feeding to see load information in the middle of the screen under Ingredients. Or, tap Pens to see where the loads will be dropped.

IMPORTANT: Feedings that exceed the capacity of the mixer A piece of farm equipment that mixes all the loaded ingredients for a feed recipe. Mobile mixers are most common, but stationary mixers also exist. are identified with an over-capacity icon . These feedings cannot be started until the feed mix amount is within the capacity of the mixer. See Edit Feeding to adjust the mix amount for a feeding.

Tap Create Feeding at the bottom of the screen. Enter the feeding details, and then tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

IMPORTANT: If the mix amount for the feeding exceeds the capacity of the mixer, an over-capacity error is displayed. When this occurs, the feeding technician will not be able to start the mixing process for the feeding until the feed mix amount is within the capacity of the mixer.

1. Tap Pens in the middle of the screen.
2. Tap + Add Pen under Pens.
3. Select one or more pens, and then tap Next at the bottom of the screen.
4. If the feeding was assigned to more than one pen, you can use the handle on the left side of an item to drag and drop it to a new position in the list, and then tap Next at the bottom of the screen.
5. Select DM/HD or AF, enter the ingredient Amount scheduled for each pen, and then tap Add at the bottom of the screen.
6. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

Tap the feeding to update, and then tap Edit Mix at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can change the feeding details, and:

• Reorder the Feeding Schedule
• Delete Feeding
• Assign or Add Feedings to Pens

All of your dairy’s current feedings are listed on the Feeding Schedule screen. The feeder will generally follow the order displayed, moving left to right and top to bottom. Follow the steps below to change the feeding order:

1. Tap Re-order Feeding Schedule.
2. Tap and hold on a feeding and drop it into a new order. Or, tap Move to on a feeding, tap or specify the new order, and then tap Move.
3. Tap Save Schedule at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap Save to confirm the new feeding order.

1. Tap the feeding to remove.
2. Tap Edit Mix at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Delete at the top right of the screen.

1. Tap the feeding to add to a pen.
2. Tap Edit Mix at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Pens in the middle of the screen.
4. Tap + Add/Edit Pen under Pens.
5. Select one or more pens, and then tap Next at the bottom of the screen.
6. If the feeding was assigned to more than one pen, you can use the handle on the left side of an item to drag and drop it to a new position in the list, and then tap Next at the bottom of the screen
7. Select DM/HD or AF, enter the ingredient Amount scheduled for each pen, and then tap Add at the bottom of the screen.
8. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

An option to search feedings is available at the top of the screen.
